Well, it’s Easter this weekend. Easter reminds me of all the fun Easter Egg Hunts that we would go on as a kid. My mom would always make me wear a dress, which I’m sure I hated. I really hated any clothes as a kid, I’d rather have been naked. Yes, I think I was born a nudist haha. I still hate wearing clothes. So restricting and uncomfortable. Blah.
I was very competitive even at a young age, so Easter egg hunting was serious business. I was a very serious kid and not much was just play–nor was Easter egg hunting. I was bound and determined to get tons of eggs.
One of my greatest memories of Easter is when my brother went easter egg hunting with me and he got a special egg and he won be this really cool scooter/bike thing…I loved it so much. What a sweet guy for him to do that for me
.
Another great memory was the year that we woke up to a flooded house. Literally, inch or two deep of water throughout the whole house because of a broken toilet. The eggs hidden around the house were going to have to wait. I remember my grandma came over and our job was to run to walmart and to get a part for the toilet. I was pretty young and I knew where Walmart was but my grandma didn’t believe me. We got lost and ended up in a town about 2 hours away. This was before the days of cell phones. My mom was flipping out back home, couldnt get the water to stop, and had no idea where we were. Finally, when we got headed home in the right direction, my grandma got pulled over for speeding. This story completely sums up my grandma—I will have to do a post about her sometime too. That easter was so eventful and we still tell the story often.
I wish we could still Easter Egg Hunt. Maybe they could put fun foodie finds in the eggs—like Justins Maple Almond Nut Butter packets, or dark chocolate…the list is endless. I know I’d be out there in a heartbeart. Id’ love to see us bloggers dukin it out to see who can find the most Easter eggs
. Funny sight huh?!
What are your favorite Easter memories?

I always loved Easter, but the year that I got an alarm clock in my Easter basket I decided that it was time to accept that the Easter bunny was, infact, just a cute little thing for children to believe in.
