I participated in my first flash mob yesterday! And needless to say, I loved it.
First, we need a little background.
The Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Basketball team is in the playoffs (in the Western Conference Finals) to be exact and this is a HUGE deal for Oklahoma City. It’s our only professional team, and just 3 years ago the Thunder were a measly 3-29 to start the season. In other words, they were horrible.
The city has really joined together behind the basketball team and it’s something that we all enjoy.
It’s well known that whomever Ellen chooses to root for will win (just like the New Orleans Saints did). So, there was a Facebook Page started in an attempt to get “Ellen to come to a game and be a Thunder Girl.” (our dance team).
The page got over 22,000 fans in a very short time and Ellen herself even mentioned the page. So, in an attempt for one last push, the creators of the page organized a Flash Mob for the dancing loving lady herself.
I thought it was a blast—people of all ages came from all over the state participated in a local park. Great times.
I was so close to being in the video. The camera shows a girl that I was right behind, but never shows me. If you can find me, that’d be awesome. I was on the edge, kind of in the middle of the pack. Since you can’t see me, I thought you’d enjoy some pictures of me shaking my groove thing.
Needless to say, this was my workout yesterday.
Now, I am off to relax. It was a long day yesterday. Lots of meals with friends, Nursing School Orientation, and then dancing the night away.

That is really cool Lisa! I’ve never done anything like that before. At first as I was reading I didn’t know who Ellen was and then I saw the banner and it all made sense.

I’m rooting for the Thunder now that my Celts are out of the running. They remind me of the Cs when they won their first championship in the 2000s lol — the season before that we were just godawful, I remember I kept getting email offers for tickets for like $10 because no one wanted to go see them get their butts kicked…then next season, championship. Hoping it goes the same way for the Thunder!

My friends have invited me to join thunder up flash mob but I can’t because I’m currently working full load in my office. I really love to go but I have my work hindrance. But I still am not behind with those grooves because my friends always sends me videos every flash mob session they enter.
